Art Director directs and develops the creative design and execution of visual communications to meet an organization's marketing or advertising objectives. Provides internal clients with design standards, tools, and guidance on communicating corporate image, branding, and identity. Being an Art Director leads the design and production operations of all visual elements including publications, infographics, and social content, that are deployed across digital, interactive and print. Stays current on latest trends. Additionally, Art Director develops a network of vendors, freelance artists, and designers to utilize for project support. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in art, graphic design or equivalent. Typically reports to top management. The Art Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be an Art Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. Arizona Art Supply in Tucson is looking for Full or Part time employees to add to their creative and friendly store staff. MUST HAVE at least 2-3 years of art materials experience, and AT LEAST one year of Cash Register experience for this position.
Your job will be helping other artists find and figure out what they need and want for their projects. You must love to talk about art materials and know what you are talking about or be willing to research what our customers are looking for.
This is NOT a sit-down job! You will need to be comfortable on your feet for long periods of time, able to lift 10-20 lb. boxes and willing to stock/clean when not assisting customers.
Our Full time shifts are 35-40 hours and Part time shifts 15-30 hours with NO night hours ever! We offer yearly bonuses, employee discounts, parties and events/competitions for our staff. We have a fun and friendly staff with an amazing customer base of artists and artisans. We work hard, but we have fun too!
