Architect jobs in Nebraska

Architect is responsible for performing design computations, compiling data, and completing rudimentary architectural assignments. Works from the designs of others to prepare sketches, preliminary drawings, and schematic designs. Being an Architect prepares project estimates and completes architectural plans/renderings following specific instructions. Prepares reports and specifications as requested. Additionally, Architect may participate in an architectural internship or professional development program. May be working towards obtaining architecture license. Requires a bachelor's degree in architecture. Typically reports to a manager. The Architect work is closely managed. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role.     R2C is seeking a full-time, permanent Architect with experience working in the architectural construction field. Responsibilities for an Architect include but are not limited to:

    • Knowledge of all aspects of renovation work to include demolition, abatement, layout, clearances, door/hardware, and interior finish work.
    • Ability to determine compliance of workmanship, materials, equipment, and installed work with contract requirements and industry standards.
    • Working knowledge and understanding of building, safety, and environmental codes.
    • Working knowledge of environmental, civil, safety, architectural and structural fields.
    • Familiarity with three phase inspections, construction project management schedules and safety programs such as OSHA and EM-385-1.
    • Ability to exercise good interpersonal skills.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
    • Registered Architect.
    • More than five years of experience in the construction industry (preferably in Government Construction or Renovations)
    • Eligible for a security clearance.
