The IT Manager manages network infrastructure, cyber security and customized applications of the company. Design, develop, implement, and coordinate systems, policies, and procedures for Information Technology solutions and infrastructure. Ensure security of data, authorize network access, and backup systems. Develops and maintains annual budget and ensure cost effectiveness. Align with business needs to develop and provide with appropriate solutions.
Essential Functions
· Supervises daily operations of network and server infrastructure
· Oversee the managed service provider
· Approves IT procurement and obsolete/used asset disposal
· Advise management on good practices to ensure the security of the organizations data assets and intellectual property
· Coordinate, plan and lead information technology related activities
· Manage analyst/developer, and IT support, and help coach employees
· Member of ERM, IT, Strategic Planning Committees and Tech Team
· Responsible for planning and budgeting of the IT function
· Assist management team to make decisions for acquiring new software products that support the business (Ex: Illustrations, Member Portal, Agent Portal)
· Part of new software product implementation team
· Project management of assigned projects
· Maintain and upgrade existing applications (Gateway, FPMS, Accounting, etc.)
· Assist in coding, reports, and changes needed for updates and upgrades on systems
· Oversight on IT related issues, helping users as needed
· Responsible for cybersecurity compliance
Education & Experience
· Four year degree in computer science or related field
· Management skills a plus
· Strong software development background and system management experience
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Desktop PC and Calculator, Policy Management System (proprietary software for the main database), FormDocs and Fortis
Work Environment
This job is performed in a professional office environment. This is a full-time position with business hours Monday through Friday. Hours of work are typically 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Additional hours may be worked as appropriate. Work is routinely performed using standard office equipment such as computers, phones and copiers, in a fast-paced environment.
