Aerospace Engineer researches and develops structural engineering specifications for aerospace products, parts, or associated operations to improve the efficiency and reliability of aerospace systems. Analyzes results of stress tests on various craft and missile parts to determine material durability and tolerances. Being an Aerospace Engineer oversees flight tests of prototypes and analyzes resulting data to validate flight characteristics and identify necessary improvements. Conducts calculations and utilizes simulations to evaluate aerodynamics, structural integrity, propulsion efficiency, and the effect on fuel consumption of new or existing materials. Additionally, Aerospace Engineer utilizes CAE, 3-D, and digital modeling to create detailed plans and specifications to support production. Assists quality assurance and purchasing teams with the evaluation of new or existing suppliers, products and materials, or technologies. Understands and complies with all federal regulatory requirements and specifications. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Aerospace Engineer work is closely managed.     Department: Engineering

    Location: Chandler, Arizona

    Salary: $65,000-100,000, based on experience. Full benefits package and relocation are available.

    If you are currently NOT an experienced FASTENER ENGINEER OR MANUFACTURING/QUALITY/PRODUCTION ENGINEER, do NOT apply. We are not looking to train for this position.

    Job Requirements:

    • Must have experience in manufacturing Aerospace Fasteners, with high tolerances.
    • Must have background in AS9100 and ISO9001.
    • Must have in-depth knowledge of Aerospace specs. MS/NAS/AN.
    • Must have experience in cold forming, hot forging and thread rolling processes.
    • Must be able to design, engineer and create manufacturing work instructions for the work travelers/routers using Manufacturing ERP system.
    • BA/BS in Engineering or Quality preferred.
    • Must have at least 5 years in the above requirements.

    Job Duties:

    • Create Manufacturing Work Instructions for work order traveler/router.
    • Plan out all raw material requirements to fulfill customer orders.
    • Ensure all raw material and Tooling requirements are met for all jobs prior to production.
    • Audit work orders after completion for efficiencies/improvements.
    • Audit raw material and tooling inventories and usages.
    • Create Purchase Orders for raw material and tooling.
    • Review of all new designs prior to production.
    • Full authority for all Engineering Change Orders.
    • Lead the engineering design review meetings.
    • Lead the MRB team.
    • Identification and implementation of productivity improvements and cost savings initiatives.
    • Facilitate raw material and tooling purchase orders and requisitions.
    • Supply Purchasing with tooling requirements and quotes for approval.
    • Work closely with operations to understand their needs relative to current tooling and new projects.
    • Set up and maintain progress to meet project build dates.
