Adult Day Care Director creates and directs programs that address the health, psychosocial, and educational needs of older individuals and their caregivers and that provide clients a safe, secure, and positive daily experience. Responsible for recruiting, training, and retention of qualified staff. Being an Adult Day Care Director manages the financial operations for the center including billing, reimbursements, and budgets. Performs assessments of prospective clients to determine if programs will meet their needs. Additionally, Adult Day Care Director coordinates with caregivers, families, social services agencies, and medical professionals to plan clients program of care. Monitors programs to ensure effectiveness, quality care, compliance with applicable regulations and standards, and to identify areas for improvement or expanded program offerings. May be a RN with experience in gerontology. Requires a bachelor's degree of social science or a directly related field. Typically reports to top management. The Adult Day Care Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. To be an Adult Day Care Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. Northern Light Adult Day Services is looking for a Driver/Security is providing safe, courteous, and on schedule transportation to our participants AND providing security and protection for our clients. Duties of this position will escort our clients when they go out of the facility and help the center facilitators when needed as a security officer and also provide transportation services for our clients. As a Driver, it is expected to work in conjunction with the Northern Light Adult Day Services program director to ensure that all participants are able to access transportation safely.
Responsibilities:
1. Follow transportation schedules and communicate with the program director regarding all aspects of participant’s schedule.
2. Transport and escort the participants with center vans.

3. Assist clients with ambulation and mobility
4. Be able to control your van with the many different personalities and different abilities combined
5. Perform security check
6. Provide escort for the clients when they go out of the facility.
Skills
Qualifications:
The driver required to have a current, valid Alaska State issued driver’s license.
Drivers must maintain their ability to drive legally and be physically able to assist mild to moderately older adults who suffers with mental illness with access.
Drivers must have the ability to lift at least 30 pounds without difficulty and be able to push or support up to 185 pounds.
Work Hours: Driver position is either full or part-time, as identified upon hiring. The organization core operating hours are 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through SATURDAY
Salary: Range starting $19.00- 20.00 (DOE) The organization may pay an annual bonus that is determined upon merit and meeting annually defined goals.
