Full time evening position in Outpatient Registration/ED Registration
JOB SUMMARY:
This position greets patients and family members promptly and courteously as patients arrive at the hospital. This position requires answering the telephone, providing requested information, taking messages, or directing the caller to the appropriate personnel. The Admitting Team Member will provide the interpretation of forms to be signed upon admission, including patient rights and living will questions, which will need to be reviewed for completeness, accuracy, and appropriate signatures. The Admitting Team Member will collect deposits and/or co-pays according to established guidelines. The associate will need to practice caution and use good judgment in relaying messages and giving information to patients, families, and visitors. Distributes appropriate information to ancillary departments. Participates in performance improvement and QI activities. Performs work with accordance to the mission, vision, and values of Ashe Memorial (AMH).
MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: High School diploma or equivalent required.
Experience:
License/Certifications: None
Language Skills: Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
