Admissions Coordinator

ROLE SUMMARY
The Admissions Coordinator is an ambassador of Valor Christian High School possessing a vast understanding of our mission, vision, and community. Since the admission process is vital to ensure that future generations of well-aligned parents and students continue to fill our hallways and grace our campus, the Admissions Coordinator should have a joyful demeanor and outgoing personality that conveys warmth and Christian character reflective of our school.
The Admissions Coordinator will support Valor’s commitment to filling the school with well-aligned students who desire a unique college preparatory high school education based on a vision that values biblical principles and emphasizes the highest level of academic, artistic, athletic, and co-curricular achievement. From the point of the first contact through the final decision, the ideal candidate for the Admissions Coordinator role will coordinate and support Valor admission processes, and procedures, while delivering exceptional customer service and excellent customer relations through timely, effective communications.
The Admissions Coordinator will serve under the direction of the Lead Admission Coordinator. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrate flexibility, and maintain a positive attitude while working closely with other team members and prospective families.

Primary Responsibilities
Highlight and fully utilize the school’s vision and mission to attract, enroll, and retain mission-appropriate, culturally aligned students
Provide an exceptional customer experience while developing and stewarding relationships with all prospective students and their families from inquiry to enrollment
Showcase Valor via open houses, special events, and admission-related activities
Give campus tours throughout the school year, communicating the vision and mission of Valor in a professional and articulate manner, consistent with the content developed by North Star Marketing
Become knowledgeable of the tuition assistance program to speak accurately of Valor’s internal processes and consistent with the messaging developed by North Star Marketing
Independently review, assess, and recommend for acceptance fully qualified, mission-appropriate applicants
Monitor and timely respond to the Admissions email account inquiries and Unbounce notifications
Coordinate and oversee the Student Ambassador program

Attend High School Fairs at local Middle Schools
Timely follow-up on leads of prospective students from Summer Art and Athletic Camp Participants with an invitation to Explore Valor
Provide direction and collaboration during the enrollment process
Serve Wholeheartedly as an Exceptional Teammate
Uphold and embody Valor’s culture as set forth in the Valor Culture Document
Model servant leadership, grace, and love in all relationships and interactions

RESULTS
The Admissions Coordinator will demonstrate empathy and discernment as they walk families through the admissions process with a focus on admitting right-fit families. As a vital member of the Admission Team, the Admissions Coordinator will help support well-functioning processes and procedures of the department. This person will be an inspiring and trusted presence to prospective families and will provide a seamless, collaborative transition from Admission to Enrollment and Enrollment to Counseling.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND REQUIRED COMPETENCIES
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field preferred
3 years of Admission-related or sales experience preferred
General administrative experience
Exceptional responsiveness in customer service
Strong communication skills, oral and written
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and make decisions
Be able to adapt and respond in a constantly changing, fast-paced environment
Highest level of professionalism in handling privileged and confidential information
Quick, self-motivated ability to learn new software and systems
Proficiency with Mac computers, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and Google Suite (Mail, Drive, Calendar)
Proficiency with spreadsheets and mail merge document creation
Preferably also familiar with Admission and Enrollment databases such as SchoolAdmin
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The basic physical demands described here are the same for all employees to successfully perform the essential functions of their jobs. Employees must periodically lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and could occasionally be required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close and distance vision, color vision, peripheral/depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. WORK ENVIRONMENT
The work environment characteristics are varied and include classroom, office, and outdoor events while performing the essential functions of this job. The noise level in the work environment is also varied.
