Addiction Mental Health Assessor jobs in Arizona

Addiction Mental Health Assessor conducts initial and ongoing assessments of patients in Alcohol and Drug (AoD) addiction programs to determine mental health needs and establish care requirements. Provides initial treatment and refers clients to appropriate agencies/providers as needed. Being an Addiction Mental Health Assessor works with patients and families to develop appropriate chemical dependency service plans. Complies with standards in the area of evaluation, assessment, treatment, and service delivery to clients. Additionally, Addiction Mental Health Assessor requires certification as a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC) or similar. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. May require a state license to practice. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Addiction Mental Health Assessor's years of experience requirement may be unspecified.     A growing organization is seeking additional Primary Therapists to support their clients at Detox, Residential, and Outpatient levels of care. The treatment center provides group and individual therapy to individuals struggling with addiction and co-occurring disorders. The facility uses evidence-based, experiential, holistic, and family therapy methods to address the co-occurring addiction and mental health disorders that include Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, Panic Disorder, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, Borderline Personality Disorder, Bipolar Disorder, Trauma, Anxiety, and Depression.

    Responsibilities:
    • Manage a client caseload
    • Lead group therapy sessions on topics including, but not limited to recovery, relapse prevention, family systems, and others
    • Provide one-on-one therapy to individuals on case loads
    • Keep accurate and up-to-date notes on groups and individual therapy sessions or treatment plans
    • Participate in treatment planning meetings as needed
    • Participate in educational trainings as needed

    Requirements:
    • LCSW, LMFT, LPC, LASAC, LISAC or associate level credentials in the state of Arizona
    • PhD or PhD interns
    • 1 years experience treating Substance Use Disorders in a clinical setting
