The Program Director is a salaried, Full-Time employee who reports directly to the Executive Director of the Wenatchee Valley Senior Activity Center (WVSAC). It is the job of the Program Director to support the mission and policies of the WVSAC by interacting with the Executive Director and members to help create a positive atmosphere in which to conduct programs for seniors.
As with all WVSAC employees, it is expected that the Program Director will support other members of the WVSAC staff team and be willing to step in and assist whenever and/or wherever the ‘team’ may require assistance.
The Program Director serves as the main contact person in the scheduling of all social, educational, recreational and travel programs. Additional duties will include recruitment and coordination of volunteers who assist with many activities and events. As the lead staff for development of activities and programs, the Program Director will have oversight and guide the work of part-time administrative assistants who will assist with these duties. It is essential that each program be evaluated on a regular basis to ensure each activity remains of interest to our members and continues to be financially viable. The Executive Director will have final approval of all newly developed programs and activities before implementing such programs.
