Activity Director - Nursing Home jobs in Delaware
Activity Director - Nursing Home plans, implements, and evaluates activities for nursing home residents. Designs programs to encourage socialization, provide entertainment, relaxation, and fulfillment, and improve daily living skills. Being an Activity Director - Nursing Home may also manage the facility's volunteer program. Requires a bachelor's degree. We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Activity Aide to join our team in providing engaging and fulfilling activities for residents in our nursing home facility.Duties:
- Plan and implement activities to enhance residents' physical, emotional, and social well-being
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) as needed
- Manage activity schedules to ensure timely participation
- Collaborate with the recreational therapy team to create tailored programs
- Provide support in memory care activities
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff
- Offer aging issues counseling and emotional supportSkills:
- Experience in nursing home or caregiving settings
- Proficiency in care techniques and ADL assistance
- Strong schedule management skills
- Knowledge of recreational therapy principles
- Ability to communicate empathetically and effectively
