Midwest Remediation is hiring a full-time Accounts Receivable Supervisor for their office in Indianapolis, IN.

The Finance Department is looking for you! We are in search of an outstanding people leader who is a self-starter, has exceptional communication skills, possesses strong organizational skills, can maintain detailed records, strives for continuous improvement of existing policies and procedures, and has a customer-serviced approach to collections and accounts receivable.  

Key Responsibilities:

• Obtains payment by reviewing invoices/scopes, resolving missed payments, updating financial records, and effectively supervising staff engaged in similar activities
• Meets accounts receivable operational standards by contributing information to strategic plans and reviews; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; identifying system improvements
• Resolve customer issues that may affect payment, insurance claims disputes, etc.
• Generate account statements and provide customers with supporting documentation
• Maintain accounts receivable files and records
• Accurately recording and posting customer payments in the accounting system
• Follow up on outstanding invoices, and manage collection efforts
• Oversee the collections tied up in liens, small claims court, and legal proceedings
• Primary contact with outside counsel and collections company
• Own A/R reporting due to Controller daily and weekly and lead team meetings
• Assist in the A/R transition to a new accounting system
• Manage companywide receivables including future acquisitions made by MWR
• Performs other tasks and assignments as needed and specified by management

• Familiarity with financial, accounting, and bookkeeping software, and spreadsheets​​​​​​​
• Leadership, management, and team-building skills
• Time and process management, including the ability to prioritize multiple simultaneous deadlines, set priorities, and work under pressure
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Integrity, discretion, and respect for confidentiality and privacy
• Excellent oral communication skills and the ability to resolve misunderstandings and errors in a diplomatic manner
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word programs; proficient in Microsoft Excel
• At least 5 years related experience and/or training; or the equivalent combination of education and experience
