Accounts Receivable Clerk supports the day-to-day operational activities of an accounts receivable department. Creates and distributes invoices to customers. Being an Accounts Receivable Clerk records, verifies, and posts payments received by the organization and ensures transactions are recorded in accordance with internal accounting policies. Maintains and reconciles accounts receivable ledger to ensure accurate and timely receipt of payments. Additionally, Accounts Receivable Clerk responds to customer inquiries and assists with the research of any discrepancies regarding bills. May utilize accounting software and systems to manage invoices and payments. Requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Accounts Receivable Clerk works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. Key responsibilities- Carry out additional projects as required
- Work with the accounting team to support them and work within all accounting areas
- Handle administrative tasks for the Finance Department
- Provide support during internal and external audits
- Reporting in Excel and various software platforms
- Handle the customer service needs of internal business partners

- Attention to detail and demonstrated ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
- AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting or related field
- Demonstrated analytical skills in basic accounts receivable and accounting policy
- Relevant experience in accounts receivable
- Knowledgeable of ERP systems
- Comprehensive knowledge of Accounts Receivable (AR)
