Accounts Payable/Receivable Supervisor jobs in Missouri

At Missouri Veterans Commission, our state’s heroes depend on the accounting team to keep their Home running smoothly. We need an Accounts Supervisor who is “Always on Mission” to ensure our Veterans Home is operating within our budget and under the required guidelines. You will supervise a small team handling Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable. Salary: $56,682.44

Qualifications:

Must demonstrate the following which may be obtained through work experience as an accounting professional or through completion of a bachelor’s degree in a related program:

• Knowledge of accounting procedures, methods, and practices and ability to apply principles and practices for varied levels of accounting transactions.
• Knowledge of basic research methods related to financial transactions
• Knowledge of and skilled in use of automated financial systems
• Knowledge of principles of employee supervision

Examples of Work:

• Ensure timely and accurate financial statements are completed as assigned and in compliance with generally accepted accounting principles.
• Interpret statistical and financial statement.
• Participate in budget preparations, monitor compliance and report discrepancies to Home Administrator.
• Prepare monthly reports for Veterans Administration, Commission Headquarters, and Administrator.
• Monitor facility quality indicators regarding financial matters.
• Oversee supervision, selection, performance management, discipline, and training of team members.
• Supervise/participate in recording of charges, adjustments, and receipts to account ledgers; reconcile accounts monthly; ensure charges paid timely; coordinate collection of delinquent accounts; and prepare daily reports on collections.
• Oversee Veterans trusts and ensure quarterly statements are provided.
• Discuss financial information and responsibility with new admissions as necessary.
