ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLES

We sell restaurant equipment and supplies wholesale as a distributor and we also do full design projects for any commercial kitchen. We value dependability, integrity, and honesty above all else and require these qualities especially in our accounting staff. We will require references who can validate your previous experience.

In this position, the candidate would be responsible for providing financial, administrative, and clerical support by ensuring the company receives payments for goods and services. Also, this position calls for properly recording the transactions by posting receipts, verifying transactions, and resolving discrepancies according to established policies and procedures in an efficient, timely and accurate manner.

Typical Daily Tasks to Include:

• Prepare cash drawers, sort mail, run credit cards, & reconcile transactions
• Prepare and review deposits, ACHs
• Credit Memos – issue daily for any returns on deliveries or damaged shipments
• Invoice and Track large chain customer ship-outs per month according to current procedure
• Scan Pick Sheets and Prepare invoices for ship-outs and deliveries
• Review Web Orders and post payments
  
  

Other Duties:

• Take phone calls from customers regarding billing – resend invoices, accept payments for accounts, questions on invoice, etc.
• Collections calls and follow-up
• Set-up New Customers
• Post Payments
• Supporting Accounting department when needed
  
  

End of Month:

• Follow First Day and Last Day processes

Qualification requirements:

• Must have a commute less than 30 minutes
• 3 years specifically accounts receivables
• Distribution experience preferred
• Associates Degree preferred
• Two work references - non-family members & can be contacted
• Customer service and negotiation skills
• Qualities - Team player, sense of humor, integrity, honesty, confidentiality, accuracy/detail and stress management ability
• Proven to be trustworthy
• Knowledge of general accounting principles, regulatory standards, and compliance requirements
• Ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
• Strong Excel and Microsoft Outlook skills
• Ability to learn accounting software system – computer literate
• Excellent data entry skills
• Demonstrates a sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines under pressure
