Accounts Payable Clerk supports the day-to-day operational activities of an accounts payable department. Reviews purchase orders, statements, and invoices to verify amounts owed. Being an Accounts Payable Clerk records and processes payments for vendor invoices in accordance with internal accounting policies and oversees payment schedules. Maintains and reconciles accounts payable ledger to validate charges and ensure accurate and timely payments. Additionally, Accounts Payable Clerk responds to vendor inquiries and assists with the research of any discrepancies in billings and payments. May utilize accounting software and systems to manage invoices and payments. Requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Accounts Payable Clerk works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. Six City Center Executive Offices leases office spaces to a diverse range of individual professionals. We are seeking to hire a full-time receptionist/Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team.- Hours for this position will be 5 days (Mon-Fri) from 9:00am - 4:00pm.
- Salary commensurate with experience
- Parking will be paid for in the vicinity of the office building
- Main responsibilities include:
- Answer multi-line phone system for individual offices, and direct calls to appropriate individuals
- Greet clients upon arrival
- Distribute incoming mail, sign for incoming packages, process all outgoing mail (postage stamp meter) including some courier mail
- Monitoring the reception desk and managing the schedule for conference room.
- Responsible for key distribution to tenants (office, suite & building keys) and any maintenance crews, careful maintenance of building key log
- Oversee aspects of building maintenance, inspections & general office suite maintenance.
- Responsible for ordering office and kitchen supplies
- Process and record vendor invoices for multiple companies
- Prepare vendor payments for processing
- Maintain and update vendor names and data
- Collect vendors W-9 information
- Assist Accounting Manager with periodic projects
- Accounting task may increase for right candidate
- Job Requirements for Receptionist/Accounts Payable Clerk:
- 1 year of experience in a professional office setting
- Experience in accounts payable processes
- Proficiency in MS Word and Outlook
- Working knowledge of QuickBooks would be a preferred but not required
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and a strong work ethic
- Professional communication, friendly and engaging interpersonal skills
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 per week
