POSITION SUMMARY
The Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for efficiently processing and managing accounts payable
transactions within an organization. This role involves handling invoices, payments, and vendor relations
to ensure accurate and timely financial transactions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

- Incorporates the six principles of trauma informed care throughout all aspects of their work.
- Receive and review incoming invoices for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company policies.
- Code invoices with appropriate general ledger accounts and obtain necessary approvals.
- Prepare and process payments using various methods such as checks and ACH transfers.
- Ensure timely and accurate disbursement of payments in accordance with payment terms.
- Collaborate with internal departments to obtain necessary information for invoice processing.
- Communicate with vendors to address inquiries, resolve discrepancies, and maintain positive relationships.
- Reconcile accounts payable transactions to statements, resolving discrepancies as needed.
- Monitor and manage vendor accounts to ensure accurate and up-to-date records.
- Assist in preparing accounts payable reports and analyses as required.
- Contribute to month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting principles, and relevant regulations.
- Stay informed about changes in accounts payable best practices and regulations.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in accounting or finance is a plus.
- Previous experience in accounts payable or related financial roles is preferred.
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and recordkeeping.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
