SUMMARY:
This position coordinates and manages the Accounting Support Staff to ensure that all accounting functions are completed timely and accurately. This position will also assist all levels of the management team with special projects/events as needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure all accounting functions are performed timely and accurately, full cycle Accounts Payable, A/R, General Ledger, Balance sheet reconciliations and Bank reconciliations..
- Review Open Purchase Order and A/P Invoice Reports on a monthly weekly basis – at minimum
- Renew city licenses on annual basis
- Ensure month end closing is timely and accurate
- Assist Controller with any/all P&L questions
- Prepare daily deposit of cash and checks received.
- Prepare daily deposits for credit card activity, mobile checks and Service Titan payments.
- Weekly publication and review of AR reports from Intacct. Direct staff to resolve accounts as needed.
- Write and update processes and procedures as needed.
- Record NSF items from customers.
- Process customer refunds via check or credit card as needed.
- Assist or provide coverage for any Accounting staff member as needed.
- Other responsibilities to be identified by Controller
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage staff to include: Accounts Payable Specialists, as well as additional Accounting personnel as needed Projects Coordinator.
QUALIFICATIONS:

- EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Preferred Bachelor’s Degree –Accounting or Business. Possess at least 5 years of experience.
- LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups and/or co-workers of the organization.
- MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
- REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- COMPUTER SKILLS: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of how to access and use the internet and have a good working knowledge of Data Entry (inventory) software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software. Microsoft Outlook knowledge and experience is helpful. Advanced proficiency in Excel.
