Job Title: Accounting Supervisor

Location: Downtown Indianapolis

Key Responsibilities:

1. Manage project budgets and forecasts in collaboration with project managers and stakeholders.
2. Monitor project costs, expenses, and revenue recognition to ensure accuracy and completeness.
3. Review and approve project-related transactions, including invoices, purchase orders, and change orders.
4. Prepare and analyze financial reports, including job cost reports, variance analysis, and profitability analysis.
5. Coordinate with project teams to address financial issues, provide guidance on cost control measures, and support decision-making.
6. Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal controls.
7. Collaborate with the finance team to facilitate accurate and timely month-end and year-end close processes.
8. Lead and mentor a team of project accountants, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
9. Continuously improve processes and systems to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and effectiveness of project accounting operations.
10. Support internal and external audits by providing documentation, explanations, and resolving any audit findings.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
• CPA or CMA certification preferred
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting required
• Public accounting experience
• Strong understanding of project management principles and construction accounting practices.

Compensation:

90k-100k base salary, depending on experience
5%-10% annual bonus depending on individual and company performance
