Accounting Manager manages multiple accounting functions and operations such as general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, revenue, asset, cost, and tax accounting. Implements accounting policies and procedures that adhere to governmental financial and tax regulations and comply with GAAP and IFRS standards. Being an Accounting Manager oversees monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting close processes and reporting. Evaluates accounting processes and systems and implements optimizations. Additionally, Accounting Manager develops and directs accounting professionals and support staff. Requires a bachelor's degree in accounting or finance. May require Certified Public Accountant (CPA) credentials. Typically reports to a director or head of a unit/department. The Accounting Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Full-Time exempt position, Monday-Friday. Pay starting at $68,515.20 DOE
In accordance with Assets, Inc. core values and mission, and under the supervision of the Finance Director, this position is responsible for the recording of all financial transactions in compliance with professional and governmental requirements as well as within the parameters established by the company policies. The Accounting Manager is responsible for the supervision of accounts receivable personnel; monthly closing and reporting; balance sheet reconciliation and maintenance of current accounting system.
This position may require de-escalating verbally or physically aggressive individuals according to identified procedures and individual client protocols.

Education and/or Experience:
Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Mathematical Skills: Strong math, accuracy and precision skills. Strong quantitative and analytical skills. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Valid Alaska driver’s license and insured vehicle or reliable means of transportation. Must be able to pass a criminal background check under state regulations. Must provide proof of educational credentials at time of hire.
