Technology Leader Yong Zhang Rejoins Salary.com as COO, CTO and President of Global Operations

Zhang Returns to Company to Lead Day-to-Day Operations, Leveraging Experienced Global Team to Drive Product Innovation and Customer Satisfaction for the New Salary.com

WELLESLEY, MA--(Mar 8, 2016) -  Salary.com, the leader in employer-reported compensation data, software and services, today announced that it has appointed Yong Zhang as chief operating officer, chief technology officer and president of Global Operations. This marks a return to the company for Zhang, who rejoins the leadership team.

"There are few individuals who have such depth of experience in compensation and technology as Yong. Plunkett continued, "In addition to Yong's experience, he is bringing back with him over two dozen highly skilled technologists and compensation professionals who also worked at Salary.com previously in the functional areas of technology, product, services, data and production."

As COO, CTO and president of Global Operations, Zhang leads day-to-day operations in both the U.S. and China, which includes professional services, compensation data operations, product strategies, product management, on-demand software architecture, product development and production operations. He spent over a decade at Salary.com starting in 2000 and holding the positions of COO, CTO and president of Global Operations. With his return to the company, Zhang will focus on product innovation, customer satisfaction, market responsiveness and operational efficiency to create the next generation of advanced solutions that improve how companies compensate their talent.

Zhang earned an MBA from the S.C. Johnson Graduate School of Management at Cornell University and a Master of Science in electrical engineering and a Master of Science in physics from the University of Massachusetts at Dartmouth. In addition, Zhang has achieved Certified Compensation Professional (CCP®) and Global Remuneration Professional (GRP®) certifications from WorldatWork.
