Wound Care Services Director directs the programs and staff of the wound care services department. Develops and implements wound care services in accordance with the policies of the hospital and the directives of the medical staff. Being a Wound Care Services Director monitors patient progress and treatment plans. Responsible for the education of clinical staff. Additionally, Wound Care Services Director requires a MD degree. Typically reports to top management. Requires license to practice medicine. The Wound Care Services Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. To be a Wound Care Services Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience.     Job Summary

    The Licensed Vocational Nurse / LVN will provide effective and personalized patient care. He/she will be responsible for patient safety, physical assessments, clinical documentation, treatment plans, continuous communication with clinical staff, tracking of outcomes, and patient education. He/she will assume responsibility for providing quality and timely care for all patients. This person will enable the team of providers to make appropriate decisions to develop, implement and evaluate a plan of care. The Licensed Vocational Nurse / LVNwill demonstrate professionalism and leadership, collaborate with other professionals, and comply with the policies and procedures of the wound care program.

    Qualifications

    • Current state license to practice as an Licensed Vocational Nurse / LVN
    • At least one year of Licensed Vocational Nurse / LVN experience, a PLUS if it is in Wound Care ( but not required)
    • Must maintain current provider CPR certification throughout employment
    • ACLS certification preferred
    • Fully vaccinated against the Covid-19 virus in accordance with Federal CDC and State/Local regulatory guidance.
