Workers Compensation Administrator II administers the workers' compensation program for an organization. Implements a consistent process for recording, investigating, and reporting workers' compensation claims complying with laws and regulations. Being a Workers Compensation Administrator II prepares and submits required reporting and documentation to OSHA, state and local agencies, and other entities. Monitors all claims and liaises with the employees, managers, insurance representatives, union representatives, medical staff, and attorneys involved with a case. Additionally, Workers Compensation Administrator II communicates case status details and necessary information to involved parties, including notifications of hearings, outcomes, return to work, or restrictions. Performs periodic reviews of overall cases to identify trends. Maintains up-to-date knowledge of all regulations and laws for reporting workers' compensation. May coordinate or assist with safety programs focused on injury prevention or facilitate accommodations for workers. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Workers Compensation Administrator II occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function.     We are currently seeking a dynamic individual to join us as a WC Claims Manager. In this position, you will play a pivotal role in driving execution, innovation, and excellence within our workers' compensation claims program. You will help us ensure we are meeting our KPIs and inspire our WC Claims team to execute at a level that far outpaces other market carriers and TPAs (Third Party Administrators).     WHAT YOU'LL DO

    • Drive disciplined execution of our Claims handling playbook to meet key KPIs
    • Lead an experienced, high-performing Claims team of 8, fostering an environment of innovation and continuous improvement; develop, measure and report on key performance metrics to drive the right activities.
    • Manage operations for the team, including team structure, role responsibilities and vendor utilization
    • Ensure Claims Strategy best practices are continually refined and implemented; analyze claims data and strategize ways to improve cost containment; define and drive the execution of initiatives to support company goals and priorities;
    • Identify and execute on improvements to make our processes more efficient and to consistently drive improvements in cost containment programs to achieve better claims results.

    WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO THE TEAM

    • 10 years of experience in workers compensation or other comparable experience in the insurance industry preferred
    • 3 years of people management experience preferred
    • Bachelors or Advanced degree preferred
    • Hawaii location strongly preferred, but we are open to a candidate located on the US West Coast who can work Hawaii-leaning hours.
    • Demonstrate a strong conceptual ability by effectively addressing both tangible and abstract issues within the scope of the role.
    • Exhibit assertiveness in advocating for positions and initiatives, while maintaining a respectful and non-abrasive demeanor.
    • Act as a change leader by actively intervening to drive positive change and energize teams towards shared goals.
    • Utilize persuasive communication skills to effectively sell a vision during periods of change.
    • Implement performance management systems that promote accountability and integrity, including thorough measurement of performance, fair and honest evaluation, and regular feedback to foster continuous improvement.
    • Build cohesive and effective teams characterized by open communication, mutual support, and fair treatment of all members, while also sharing credit for successes.
    • Demonstrate tenacity and a strong drive to achieve results, consistently pursuing goals with passion and a sense of urgency.
    • Display innovation and creativity in problem-solving, regularly seeking out new approaches and thinking outside the box to overcome challenges and achieve objectives.

    The base compensation for this position is $110,000 to $140,000 annualized depending on experience and qualifications.
