Women's Athletics Director directs all facets of a university/college's women's athletic program, including intramural and intercollegiate sports. Manages the entire women's coaching staff. Being a Women's Athletics Director schedules use of facilities, transportation, and sporting events. Also responsible for fundraising, publicity, ticket pricing and distribution, and purchase of new equipment. Additionally, Women's Athletics Director requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Women's Athletics Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. A graduate fellowship is a scholarship that is offered to students hoping to pursue their Master’s in Sports Administration and Leadership and execute 480 hours of internship within the Athletic Department at Augustana University in Sioux Falls, SD. It is an unpaid position that offers a 50% tuition benefit and will be based on the admission into the MSAL program as well as completion of this application including the required essay and an interview with a member of the Augustana Athletics Department.
Augustana Graduate Fellowships are competitive with limited availability per area of interest. Applicants must have posted a Bachelor’s Degree prior to starting the MSAL program. Student-Athletes and Graduate Assistants are not eligible for the Graduate Fellowship Scholarship.

Athletic Administration Graduate Assistant
Augustana University (SD) is seeking qualified applicants for an Athletics Administration Graduate Fellowship position, 12-month Master’s in Sports Administration and Leadership program, averaging 15 hours per week, within our Athletics department. This position includes a 50% tuition assistance.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
The graduate assistant will work closely with our athletic administrative team to assist with the operational needs of a NCAA Division II athletic department that competes at the NCAA Division I level in men’s hockey, and will receive invaluable experience working with our programs, student-athletes, coaches, and campus staff. Assist with general athletic departmental operations. Assist the department with all game operational duties to includes venue set-up and tear-down, fan engagement and management, and supervision of student and game-day workers. Other duties as assigned
