Waste Water Treatment Plant Manager jobs in Missouri
Waste Water Treatment Plant Manager supervises the operations and maintenance of a wastewater treatment plant to ensure compliance with regulatory procedures and reporting practices. Oversees sampling and testing systems, and the testing and maintenance of pumps, conveyors, blowers, and other equipment. Being a Waste Water Treatment Plant Manager ensures staff is up-to-date with all federal, state, and local regulations and environmental guidelines. Typically requires a bachelor's degree or other tech degree. Additionally, Waste Water Treatment Plant Manager typically reports to a manager or director. The Waste Water Treatment Plant Manager supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Waste Water Treatment Plant Manager typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Minimum Education: High School diploma or equivalent. Associate degree preferred in Engineering, an environmental science, or a closely related field preferred. A combination of higher education for experience may be considered.Minimum Experience: Six (6) years’ experience in water treatment and water distribution systems. Three (3) years’ direct supervisory experience.
Minimum Certification: Class A Water Treatment Plant Operator Certification.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Water Treatment Plant Manager assists the Public Works Director with the supervision, coordination, and operation of the Water Treatment Plant; to ensure essential services are provided to maintain the public infrastructure to provide for public safety, health, and welfare.COMPENSATION:
Salary Range: $32.01/hr- $44.82/hr DOQ.
