Job Description: General Objectives: Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, the Warehouse Supervisor oversees and participates in all warehouse activities, including shipping and receiving materials or goods, maintaining inventory levels and recording warehouse information. Responsible for supporting the mine site by overseeing processes and direct reports to provide high quality service which includes maintaining accurate inventory information and staging parts as required. The Warehouse Supervisor will hire and train new employees, assign work, evaluate individual reports and resolve performance issues. Key Areas of Responsibilities & Duties: The key responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to the following: Manage the warehouse and distribution operations such as Inventory Control, Material Handling, and Receiving. Oversee the process for incoming shipments from outside vendors. Ensure shipments are inspected and keyed into the system. Ensure that all incoming goods have a receiver and that all receivers are properly keyed and scanned into the system. Plan, organize, direct, and control the activities of personnel involved in the daily routing of deliveries; the storage and movement of materials, equipment or supplies in stock; and those engaged in receiving, issuing, and delivering including accuracy and completeness to all departments. Develop standards for warehouse stock, stock inventory and replenishment to ensure adequate stock levels and continually update warehouse stock database. Resolve order/delivery discrepancies with vendors and resolve warehouse stock discrepancies. Participate in the tendering process, including document preparation, analysis, award, and issuance of the contracts/purchase order agreements. Support compliance to all policies and procedures as well as workflow processes and timely monthly reporting. Hold self/direct reports and department members accountable to safe and productive work practices as outlined within Marigold guidelines and policies. Set team priorities in the context of the site and department goals to best utilize the skills of the team. Establish and maintain continuous improvement work practices that align with the Marigold safety culture and strategic business plan initiatives. Performs duties and activities in a manner that conforms to all safety practices and other policies, procedures and standards that are established by the company or required by law. Performs additional duties as required Responsible for planning and setting short-term, operational goals (e.g. 6 months or less) for a team. Leads the activities of a team that directly supports performance and achievement of business unit/department objectives. Identifies potential improvements in methods and processes. Problems are generally solved through drawing from prior experiences, with some logical analysis of the issue. Problems impact the immediate team’s work and may impact the department. Provides coaching and mentorship to team members in both technical and non-technical aspects of role. May have supervisors and individual contributors reporting to them. Ensures policies, practices and procedures are understood and followed by direct reports, customers and stakeholders. Works within budget and meets business and service level objectives. Develop clear logistics best practices and processes, and ensure these are communicated, and implemented across the site in line with local requirements. Build strong relationships with all key stakeholder (e.g., Logistics Service Providers, Procurement, Finance, Operations, Maintenance) to effectively enable critical decision making that will impact stock availability, freight, warehouse and distribution costs and manage lead times Forklift and daily operation support. Required Skills: Proficient in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Projects, Outlook, Power Point, etc.) Ability to safely lift, up to 50 pounds Advanced computer skills and communication A good work ethic with the ability to work well with company and vendor personnel. Strong organizational and time management skills as well as able to prioritize and meet deadlines. Good interpersonal skills. Good critical and conceptual thinking skills. Calm demeanor and level head for trouble shooting and handling a variety of issues as they arise. Ability to develop and carry out policies and procedures. Excellent organization skills and ability to delegate Working knowledge of warehouse activities with knowledge logistics/Inco Terms Required Experience: Bachelor' s degree or equivalent work Minimum 5 years’ experience working in a Warehouse and/or Inventory Management. Experience working at a mine site preferred. Previous supervisory experience preferred.
