The Candyman is currently seeking passionate applicants for a voice teacher in our private lessons program. Ability to teach novice to intermediate piano a big plus! If you have a passion for teaching and a love for music, we want to hear from you!

Job description

Private lessons teachers will work directly with The Candyman private and group lessons administrators. Teachers will perform under minimal supervision as they plan and prepare lessons in relation to individual student needs. Evaluation will be based on student retention, participation in student showcases and special education events, student feedback, and respecting shared studio spaces.

Qualifications

• Formal music training is not mandatory but EITHER a degree in music, enrollment in a music program, or a minimum of 2 yrs previously teaching your instrument is a must!
• Must have the ability to be patient and a willingness to meet each student where they are at in their musical journeys
• Must be comfortable teaching ages, 8 - 80 years!
• Must have excellent communication skills as they will be communicating with the private lessons coordinator on a regular basis
• Must be punctual
• Must respond to texts and emails promptly
• Must have reliable transportation
• Must have a genuine joy for teaching!

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $32.50 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 20 per week
