Barnes & Noble College is seeking a creative, driven, adaptable, and customer-focused team member to work as a Department Manager in the General Merchandise department.
The Department Manager in GM may assist customers with school supplies, electronics, dorm, convenience, gifts, and clothing while assisting in the daily operation of the store.
You will be a subject matter expert for your department, but also remain knowledgeable of other operational areas to provide outstanding customer service.
Responsibilities
As a Department Manager in General Merchandise you will support all store operations and departments in partnership with the management team.
You will manage daily activities of the selling floor to ensure the appeal of our displays and the availability of merchandise.
General Merchandise is a high energy, multi-faceted department where your adaptability, creativity, customer service, listening, and problem solving skills will be exercised.
