Job Description
Vuori is looking for a Senior Director ,Visual Merchandising to lead our dynamic team of VM leaders and field merchants. Reporting to the VP of Retail, this role works collaboratively across brand and business partners to develop product journeys, presentation strategies, styling direction as well as playbooks & training programs that create a distinct point of view for the brand at retail. This is an in-office role, based out of our Headquarters, in Carlsbad, CA.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:- Oversee the development and execution of compelling in-store displays, window presentations, and product placement choices that reflect the Vuori brand aesthetic and ethos.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of VM leaders and field merchants to drive excellence in visual merchandising execution.
- Develop and implement strategic directives to enhance brand visibility, drive sales, and optimize the customer shopping experience.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with merchandising, marketing, retail operations, store design, and store teams to align visual merchandising strategies with overall brand objectives.
- React to in-season business and commercial planning needs leveraging partnerships with Field Visual and Omnichannel partners to move the traction of the business forward
- Establish and maintain visual merchandising standards, guidelines, and best practices to ensure consistency and excellence across all retail channels.
- Partner with retail store teams to provide training, support, and guidance on merchandising techniques.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activity, and customer preferences to inform future merchandising strategies and initiatives.
- Oversee store visual merchandising refresh projects.
- Work closely with retail store design teams to provide feedback on store layout as it relates to visual merchandising, fixture placement, fixture design and store capacity.
- Provide insight into current and future visual merchandising initiatives, fixture design, and visual display design.
- Utilize data analytics and market insights to inform merchandising decisions, identify trends, and maximize sales opportunities.
- Partner closely with Brand Environment team to ensure brand aesthetic and ethos is brought to life and continues to an inspirational POV, while supporting commercial goals
- Build assortment capacity targets for all store groups, key store fixtures and special projects
- Lead store directive reviews with cross functional partners to ensure all assortment, inventory and marketing needs are being met
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Merchandising, Visual Merchandising, Design, Fashion, or related field.
- 7 years of experience in visual merchandising, preferably within the boutique apparel retail sector.
- Extensive visual background with previous experience in a large scale vertical retail environment and understands reaching broad scale at an accelerated pace
- Consumer obsessed with a pulse on industry trends across innovation, sport, culture and fashion.
- Proven track record of leadership and team management in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make strategic recommendations.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and presentation skills.
- Creative thinker with a passion for innovation and design.
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative, cross-functional environment.
- Confident presentation and computer skills with command of Outlook calendar, Excel, PowerPoint and Keynote, Mac proficiency strongly preferred.
Pay Range: $162,000-$190,000/yr
