USRA is seeking a Research Assistant (Data Analyst) in support of Marshall Space Flight Center’s Land Use/Cover Change Science, Research and Products in Asia and World task. The RA will assist in spatial data analysis useful for land cover analysis. The RA will assist in the pre and post-processing of remotely sensed data using various tools such as Python, Matlab, Java script, and remote sensing software. Also, the candidate will help in delivering reports on scientific analysis.
This is a short-term position, lasting 6 to 12 months, subject to funding availability.
Required Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Remote Sensing, Engineering, Computer Science, Data Sciences, Environmental Science, Ecology, Geography, Remote Sensing, or a related academic field.
Working Conditions: This job operates in a professional office. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, etc. This is largely a sedentary role.
This position is required to work on-site in Huntsville, AL.
