Your primary responsibilities will be managing customer-owned or Swagelok Louisiana-owned inventories at customer sites. This means not just stocking product but also building relationships with customers by providing first-rate sales support.

Sales Inventory Specialist Expectations
- Hit targeted turns per year at all inventory locations.
- Execute exceptional customer service through the coordination and communication of quotes and orders with sales and customers directly as needed.
- Efficiently manage transactions related to maintaining customer inventories on a routine schedule.
- Develop an understanding of the customer inventory trends to anticipate the customer needs along with maintaining stock levels that are efficient for SLA and the customer.
- Maintain departmental metrics.
- Work with Sales to execute strategies for accounts.
- Follow-up and work with customers while on-site to support their needs.
- Work with Customer Relations Team to fulfill orders.
- Develop a thorough understanding of any applicable AutoCrib equipment including maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Work with the warehouse to schedule deliveries effectively.
- Maintain company truck according to maintenance schedule.
Position Requirements or Qualifications:
Education
High School or Equivalent (GED). Associate’s degree preferred
Experience
- Minimum 2 years warehouse or route sales experience in a high volume or service-oriented environment
- Understanding of sales and marketing concepts
- In-depth knowledge of broad range of Swagelok fluid system components preferred
- Knowledge of cataloging and/or inventory management systems preferred
- Knowledge of a broad range of applications highly desirable
- Ability to communicate well within an organization’s structure
- Ability to work independently
Skills:
- Level of mechanical comprehension
- Effective and friendly telephone manner to effectively interact, communicate, and negotiate with customers
- Verbal communication skills
- Problem solving and organizational skills
- Oriented with a high level of accuracy to work effectively in teams
- Knowledge of MS-Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint

Physical Requirements:
- Office, warehouse and field environments.
- Driving company truck through defined service area.

- Able to lift up to 35 pounds continuously, 50 lbs max.
- Able to reach above shoulder height and stand for a full 8-hour shift.
