  • UAS IT Services is a fast-paced and fun team that serves the needs of a dynamic and growing university campus and region.  The User Services Manager is the primary outward facing position on the IT team, responsible for managing customer services, communication, training, and the promotion of technologies to the UAS community. This position oversees the IT Helpdesk, Media Services and Classroom Support functions, and coordinates closely with the UAS Center for Excellence in Learning and Teaching and other UA work groups.

    User Services Manager applicants should have expert ability to administer UAS Helpdesk and other User Services functions, including managing services, supervising staff, and evaluating service delivery. Applicants should also be able to communicate clearly with students, faculty, and functional leaders and staff, work collaboratively with a diverse group of people, identify needs, and create and deliver training.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    Master’s degree in a relevant field (i.e. Information Technology or other related field) and 4 years progressively responsible experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

    Position Details:

    This position is located on the Juneau campus in Southeast Alaska. This is a full-time, exempt staff position complete with both a competitive salary and full employee benefits package. UA provides a generous compensation package that includes retirement options, annual leave, 12 paid holidays per year, tuition waivers for employees and family members, and affordable medical, dental and vision care coverage. New hires will be placed on the UA Staff Salary Schedule, Grade 82, based on education and experience.
