We are seeking a detail-oriented Logistics and parts coordinator to join our team. This person will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating various aspects of logistics operations to ensure efficient shipping and receiving of equipment as well as parts shipping and receiving and inventory management.
**Responsibilities:**
- Manage inventory control processes to optimize stock levels
- Coordinate materials management activities to support production schedules
- Analyze logistics data to improve processes and reduce costs
- Procure transportation services and negotiate contracts with carriers
- Oversee vendor management activities to maintain strong supplier relationships
- Coordinate freight shipments and monitor dispatching activities
- Manage supplier relationships to ensure timely delivery of materials
**Qualifications:**
- Proven experience in logistics, inventory control, or related field
- Strong understanding of transportation planning and logistics operations
- Proficiency with Quickbooks software
- Excellent vendor management and negotiation skills
- Knowledge of freight forwarding processes and dispatching procedures
- Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions to optimize logistics operations
