The Uniform and Laundry Supervisor will report to the Executive Housekeeper and will supervise the uniform and laundry attendants. The Laundry and Uniform Supervisor plays a pivotal role in overseeing the efficient operations of the uniform and laundry department. This position encompasses various responsibilities, including supervising laundry processing, managing inventory, facilitating orders, coordinating the upkeep and maintenance of all equipment, conducting uniform audits and inventory, receiving weekly deliveries from rental partners, auditing delivery manifests, work with department managers to coordinate issue and return of uniforms for new hire or departing colleagues. Additionally, the role involves overseeing laundry staff and handling general office duties. Candidates with prior supervisory experience and a background in housekeeping, laundry or uniform operations are preferred.

Supervision of uniform & Laundry Operations:

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the laundry department to ensure smooth functioning.
• Monitor and manage laundry production processes to meet quality and efficiency standards.
• Implement best practices for laundry operations to optimize productivity.
• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the uniform area including issue and return of colleague uniforms
• Coordinate with dry cleaning partner to send out and receive uniforms and guest dry cleaning

Inventory Management:

• Maintain accurate records of laundry inventory, including linens, uniforms, and supplies.
• Conduct regular inventory audits to ensure accuracy and prevent shortages.
• Coordinate with housekeeping managers to order laundry supplies
• Coordinate with department managers any uniform needs per department

Cleanliness and Maintenance:

• Coordinate any maintenance needs for laundry and uniform equipment with engineering department
• Ensure daily cleaning and routine maintenance is completed to prevent breakdowns

Staff Supervision:

• Lead and motivate uniform & laundry employees to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
• Provide training and guidance to staff members to enhance their skills and performance.

General Office Duties:

• Handle administrative tasks such as record-keeping, scheduling, and reporting.
• Prepare and maintain relevant documentation, including invoices, reports, and employee records.
• Complete receiving of weekly uniform deliveries, cross check delivery manifests and audit invoices for accuracy

• Previous supervisory experience in a similar role preferred.
• Knowledge of laundry operations, including sorting, washing, drying, and folding.
• Familiarity with inventory management systems and procurement processes.
• Proficiency in operating laundry equipment.
• Ability to lift 50lbs.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Flexibility to work all shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
