Underwriting Assistant provides support and assistance to underwriting staff. Performs administrative duties regarding new and renewal accounts, risk assessments, and loss runs and loss ratings. Being an Underwriting Assistant may assist underwriters with the computation of rates and premiums. Typically requires a high school diploma. Additionally, Underwriting Assistant typically reports to a supervisor. The Underwriting Assistant works under moderate supervision. Duties/Responsibilities:
- Issuance of quotes, endorsements, and cancellation notices.
- In-bound and outbound calls with agents, clients, and brokers.
- Response to submissions, e-mails, messages within timely manner.
- Assist business individuals and/or teams responsible for preparing binding documents.
- Maintain updated documentation.
- Manage and coordinate the filing of documentation as it relates to policies.
- Follow up with customers to insure accurate records.

Knowledge/Skills required:
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Office.
- Have strong communication and computer skills.
- Must be highly organized, detailed oriented, and have excellent time management skills.
- Must have strong teamwork skills.
Education Requirements:
- Associates Degree preferred.
Compensation:
ยท $17 - $19 per hour.
