Additionally, Treasurer is responsible for the corporate banking, credit, and investment functions. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. TREASURER/BOOKKEEPER JOB DESCRIPTION
Training for the computer bookkeeping program and the Village system will be provided for up to 90 days and could require daily attendance. After the training period the bookkeeping job requirements can be met with job attendance of one day a week or a maximum of 30 hours per
Salary will be discussed
Attendance at first Board meeting (second Monday of each month) of the month or any special meetings as required, $75 per Board meeting and $25 for special meetings
Prepare the Treasurer’s Report for the first Board meeting each month
Account for all expenditures and receipts
Deposit of all funds in appropriate bank accounts
Manage the investment of Village funds with assistance
Prepare annual budget and tax levy
Take care of payroll
Coordinate with the Auditors as required for the Village annual audit
Part-time, less than 1000 hours/year, thus no paid vacation or paid benefits
Other duties as required by the Mayor or Board of Trustees to meet the requirements of the Treasurer/Bookkeeper position.
