Travel Manager directs the operation of the company's travel services. Administers and monitors the travel policies, guidelines, and budget to deliver efficient travel arrangements. Being a Travel Manager prepares periodic budget and utilization reports. Provides guidance to employees about travel requirements including visa, medical, and special conditions. Additionally, Travel Manager may require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Travel Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Travel Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. Travel Operations Manager, Media & Entertainment (Hybrid)

In this role you will be responsible for managing a global operations team who are dedicated to Apple Entertainment, focusing on managing all aspects of travel. We are looking for someone who can work in a fast-paced, exciting industry and who is looking for their next challenge within the entertainment industry. We want someone who enjoys building strong and trusting client and supplier relationships, who relishes working in a challenging environment, and someone who is looking to do things just a little bit differently than the norm. You will be someone who is dedicated to their team, enjoys working as part of a larger organization, and is constantly looking at ways to improve the current operations. This position demonstrates an extensive understanding and applicability of all areas in the entertainment travel industry, client servicing, and business practices.
As a Travel Operations Manager, Media & Entertainment, you will- Serve as the primary liaison between Apple’s Production and PR Teams and the BCD teams, as well as building a strong relationship with Apple’s Entertainment Travel Manager
- Support Apple's travel program by identifying program goals and carrying out action plans to implement program objectives
- Have extensive knowledge of media and entertainment as well as at least one travel industry category, allowing you to provide direction on best practices to improve operational processes
- Serve as a liaison among clients, travelers, and suppliers by listening, problem-solving, and communicating both verbally and in writing
- Develop and maintain relationships with our suppliers, and be the escalation point for vendor concerns
- Maintain relationships with key stakeholders across various levels of organization
- Communicate travel initiatives, travel category results, updates to program or industry
- Ensure all operational goals are consistently met and work to implement and measure continuous improvement efforts
- Work with the event management team for Apple Entertainment
- Prior operations management experience in the travel industry and Media & Entertainment field
- Experience managing Entertainment and VIP clients
- Strong knowledge of Sabre GDS
- Experience with contract negotiations, payment solutions, and supplier sourcing
- Experience working in cross-functional work teams and with large market and/or global clients
- Highly effective oral and written communication skills
- Ability to lead - setting direction, developing teamwork and collaboration, and achieving results through others
- Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to ever-changing scenarios

The salary range for candidates in applicable jurisdictions in the US for the position of Travel Operations Manager, Media & Entertainment is between $90,000 and $114,000.
