POSITION SUMMARY
The Training Specialist will provide training and ongoing support to KVHC employees in daily operations. The Training Specialist assures standardization of the clinical use and best practices of the electronic health record systems. This position serves as a resource for developing employee skills and knowledge base to effectively perform their job responsibilities. This Training Specialist will proactively educate and guide all KVHC employee’s on KVHC’s customer service delivery model.
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Provide orientation and on-going Electronic Health Records training and support for providers and employees.
2. Promote best practices in the use of the Electronic Health Records.
3. Provide support for the Electronic Health Records.
4. Develop orientation and workflow training materials for KVHC employees.
5. Aid in the cross-training of employees.
6. Assist as needed with special projects toward the achievement of KVHC’s mission.
7. Performs additional duties or projects as assigned by the Human Resources Director.
8. Adheres to all KVHC policies and protocols.
9. Complies with all safety rules and protocols. Reports all incidents, regardless of severity, immediately to their supervisor and completes an incident report and investigation form, which will be forwarded to Human Resources within 24 hours of the incident.
10. Conducts themselves as a good steward in the communities served by KVHC; represents the organization at outreach activities as needed.
11. Actively participates as committee member as assigned by the Chief Executive Officer.
