Training Administrator jobs in Ohio

Training Administrator is responsible for the coordination of employee and management training programs. Administers a recordkeeping system to track employee training participation and progress. Being a Training Administrator assists in other administrative and budgeting tasks associated with training programs. Coordinates and tracks participation in outside training activities. Additionally, Training Administrator may coordinate or administer skill or competency assessments, career counseling, outplacement, and other specialized training or development programs for employees. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Training Administrator gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function.     Summary:

    This is a training position for the facility Administrator job. Gains an understanding of facility management, planning, operations, and profitability by observation, participation and mentoring by the Administrator and senior staff.

    Qualifications:

    Education:

    • BS in health care administration, business administration, finance, a clinical specialty or equivalent long term care experience.

    Licenses/Certification:

    • Must be eligible for required licensure.

    Experience:

    • Two years experience in a long term care facility.

    Essential Functions:

    • Becomes knowledgeable about processes and procedures for administration, clinical operations, and service departments.
    • Studies State and Federal rules and regulations governing the operation of long term care centers.
    • Works with Admissions and Sales and Marketing to understand the development of referral sources, increasing census, and the admissions process.
    • Works with the DON to understand clinical procedures and processes as they apply to long term care centers, and the challenges faced by the clinical staff.
    • Observes and participates in service departments activities to understand their role in supporting the residents and facility.
    • Participates in business office activities and the budget development and monitoring process to understand the financial role of the administrator.
    • Obtain required training to pass state licesure exam.
    • Performs other tasks as assigned.

    Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

    • Ability to gain knowledge of varied rules and regulations governing long term care operations and reimbursements.
    • Knowledge of cost reporting, profit and loss and budget compliance.
    • Ability to work with a large staff and diverse client base.
    • Ability to be flexible in work hours.
    • Ability to communicate effectively with residents and their family members, and at all levels of the organization.
