Traffic Clerk in Virginia Beach, VA
The law requires all Ohio drivers to maintain financial responsibility.  Law enforcement officers must ask for proof of insurance at each traffic stop.  If you did show proof of financial responsibility to the officer, your ticket should indicate “yes” in the “financial responsibility proof shown” section.  If you did not show insurance on the road, or your ticket indicates “no”, you will need to take further steps to avoid a license suspension.
