Total Quality Analyst jobs in Kentucky

Total Quality Analyst assists with the administration of the organization's total quality programs and processes. Conducts reviews and inspections of internal and vendor processes and activities to monitor compliance. Being a Total Quality Analyst collects data and prepares documents and charts to report status of programs. May be certified in methodologies such as Six Sigma, Lean, or Kaizen. Additionally, Total Quality Analyst typically requires a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Total Quality Analyst occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function.   • Purpose/Summary

    This position is responsible for facilitating the Quality Department activities and procedures for sampling and approval of in-process sampling and monitoring during production and finished goods to ensure product quality.

    Essential Duties/Responsibilities

    • Leads prototype/specialty builds as needed
    • Responsible for packaging and shipping test samples to AEC
    • Provides summaries and conducts reporting for parts and equipment
    • Train laboratory and quality personnel to understand equipment and methodologies and ensure they follow protocols appropriately
    • Ensure that the test methods used are current
    • Reviews/approves protocols, writes technical reports, and procedures
    • Provides a summary upon completion of all projects
    • Document protocols and maintain manufacturing, laboratory, and customer files regarding protocol testing.
    • Supports daily QA/QC activities to meet company needs.
    • Maintain records and samples in an organized manner to allow ease of retrieval
    • Oversees the completion of product baseline information for projects assigned including lab testing results and qualification test plans, manufacturing or distribution reviews, production design specifications, and adherence to product development timelines
    • Document protocols and maintain manufacturing, laboratory, and customer files regarding product testing
    • Conduct measurement studies when applicable

    Education and/or Experience (minimum required for the position)

    • Five years of experience in Quality
    • 1-2 years experience in a manufacturing environment in quality inspection

    Essential Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

    • Excellent PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Minitab (or equivalent) capability required
    • Inspection/quality principles knowledge
    • Ability to work in a team environment
    • Understanding of customer specific requirements.

    A valid driver's license is required.
