American Tax Company is a tax preparation company that helps our clients with their tax returns. We are looking for a Tax Preparer to prepare and send tax returns. You will be responsible for preparing individual and business tax returns. A Tax Preparer must be well-organized and able to follow instructions. The goal is to prepare the most accurate and complete tax return.

Job Title: Tax Preparer

Duties:
- Prepare and file accurate tax returns for individuals and businesses
- Review financial records, such as income statements and expense reports, to determine tax liabilities, as well as for completeness and accuracy
- Utilize accounting software to input and organize financial data
- Calculate and apply appropriate deductions, credits, and exemptions
- Stay up-to-date with changes in tax laws and regulations
- Communicate with clients to gather necessary information and answer tax-related questions and provide solutions
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain client confidentiality
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure accurate and timely completion of tax returns

Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Tax Preparer or in a similar role preferred
- Strong technical accounting skills, including knowledge of tax laws and regulations
- Familiarity with public accounting practices and procedures
- Proficiency in using accounting software and 10-key typing as well as Microsoft Office programs
- Excellent math skills for accurate calculations
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision
- Good communication skills to interact with clients effectively
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

Note: A valid CPA license is not required for this position.
