Our client, a mid-sized NYC law firm with a nationally recognized banking practice, seeks a lawyer with a minimum of five years’ experience in banking transactions, to work on lending, letter of credit and other transactions for financial institutions.  The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in drafting, negotiating, and closing domestic and international financing transactions (both syndicated and bilateral, secured, and unsecured) and a strong knowledge of the UCC and Bankruptcy Code.  Experience in trade finance or fund finance (e.g., lending against capital commitments or subscriptions for capital) is a plus.  This position has great potential for advancement within an active and expanding practice group.

The anticipated compensation range for this position is $180,000 - $205,000.  The salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors, including, but not limited to, job experience, familiarity with and experience in the legal industry, skillset and other requirements as set forth on the job description.  To the extent applicable, please note that the salary range does not include health, life, or other employer-provided insurance; paid or unpaid time off, such as sick or vacation days, leaves of absence; contributions toward retirement or savings funds, such as 401(k) plans; commission; equity; or bonuses.
