Job Description:
· Responsible for overall management and supervision of children and implementing a program of activities that promotes the social, emotional and physical development of each child.
· Maintains a safe, clean, and organized classroom
· Planning and implementing the daily program of activities based on principles of child development and in accordance with the program’s curriculum
· Performs other duties as required or assigned
Conditions for Employment:
· This position is subject to satisfactory clearance of all background checks The Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) Office of Childcare (OCC).
Qualifications:
· High school Diploma or GED
· Minimum 1 year teaching experience.
· Must demonstrate experience and interest in working with young children, parents, and volunteers
· Must demonstrate success in working as a member of a team
· Must be willing to work flexible hours in order to meet the needs of the program
· Must meet the Maryland State Department of Education-Office of Childcare (MSDE-OCC) qualifications.
· CDA Infant/Toddler or
· 90 Hour Certificate in Infant/Toddler or
· AA or BA in Early Childhood Education
· Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA 3 Hour Training)
· Basic Health & Safety Training
Breastfeeding Training
· 9 Hour Communication Training
