The Funding Administrator will also provide support to production teams in the creation of technical reports and partner with the Funding Specialist in grant/loan proposal development, funding administration for awarded projects, data management, and quality control.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assists with developing project funding strategies and funding administration
• Locates and applies for funding opportunities on behalf of clients
• Manages funding source policy requirements on behalf of clients

• Authors funding specific reports

• Assists in the writing of technical narratives for use in funding applications
• Collaborates with internal project teams regarding the technical aspects of application requirements
• Coordinates with the Funding Specialist and Marketing team for submittal requirements, i.e. graphics, promotional videos, etc.
• Drafts and edits high quality, compelling LOI’s, funding proposals, funding reports, and acknowledgement letters

• Assists in the research and interpretation requirements of a wide variety of funding sources

• Reviews, summarizes, and tracks data on grant awards received in database and file formats
• Oversees and tracks all funding milestones including, but not limited to; proposals in development, proposals submitted to funders, proposals that have been issued or canceled, deliverable deadlines, communication, and awards, ensuring that all content is always complete and up-to-date in tracking software
• Collaborates with the Funding Specialist to develop an annual internal funding opportunities strategy
• Provides technical writing expertise for company-wide proposals or projects under the guidance of production team leadership, as needed
• Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, English, Public Administration, Planning, Business, Communications, Marketing, or a related program
• Experience with planning, community/economic development, and funding preferred
• Ability to read and understand all aspects related to grants and/or third-party funding
• Interest in environmental, water resources and/or or community development planning preferred
• High attention to detail
• Strong research and problem-solving skills (independent analysis)
• Excellent grammar, proofreading, written and verbal communication skills
• Task-oriented and deadline driven with the ability to coordinate multiple projects
• Ability to make procedural recommendations
