Humanitas Labs is looking to leverage robust AI techniques to work on selected financially sustainable engineering projects which modernize the social care public infrastructure. At the Digital Harbor Foundation, the Executive Director of Humanitas Labs will play a crucial role in the success of Humanitas Labs by overseeing all aspects of program development, implementation, and ongoing improvement.
Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor’s in business administration or related field, or 15 years in executive 5 years in a managerial capacity leading a team
Computer Science background with product management experience in engineering projects for the public sector
Track record of raising funds from individuals, foundations, and government to meet programmatic objectives
Experience building systems, processes, and business solutions.
Experience forming and scaling networks.
Experience leading teams and managing/developing others.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Proficiency using Google’s business Suite (Docs, Sheets, etc).
Ability to build relationships quickly and across lines of difference.
Excellent verbal and written communication with a specific focus on communicating across diverse backgrounds and perspectives. Ability to facilitate open and constructive dialogue.
Passion about bridging the digital divide.
Analytical and pragmatic mind to balance big-picture strategy and executing details.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a growing and evolving environment.
Clear commitment and vision for how equity and inclusion shows up in organizational design.

Additional Notes
This position is fully remote and will require frequent travel.
Role and Responsibilities
1. Programmatic Vision
Set strategy: Refine and hold a vision that is responsive to member needs and maximizes the impact of the community. Drive long-term and annual strategic planning to prioritize key initiatives.
Design robust ecosystem of supports, tools and experiences: In collaboration with your team and members, define, design, and execute a strong menu of supports for members. This includes, but is not limited to: ongoing working groups, virtual events, in-person meet ups, tech tools to support collaboration, and annual summits.
2. Community Strength
Build inclusive network: Build deep, trusting relationships with and strategic connections amongst members. Identify new ways to deepen community and collaboration amongst the group. Ensure strong ongoing communications.
Advance equity: Define priorities to increase the diversity and inclusiveness of the project, and make strategic decisions with a strong equity lens. This means considering the potential impact on marginalized communities and striving to ensure that all initiatives are designed to benefit a wide range of stakeholders.
Recruit, select, and offboard members: Continue to tune criteria for new and existing members. Support team to interview, onboard, and off board members. This involves actively seeking out and engaging individuals from various cultural, racial, and socioeconomic backgrounds to ensure a broad spectrum of perspectives.
3. Team Leadership
Scale team: Hire and manage individuals to implement the project’s strategy. This includes both potential dedicated employees (ex: Community Manager, Operations Associate) as well as contractor team (ex: additional capacity to design in person summits).
Design and execute team culture: Ensure strong culture, effective internal systems, and customer-service oriented execution.
Leverage advisory structures: Develop intentional plans to maximize governance and advisory structures, which are made up of members and external funders/partners of the project. This includes planning for a regular cadence of touchpoints, recruiting new members, and providing regular updates.
4. Operational Excellence
Monitor progress: Establish systems to regularly monitor the impact of the group and experience of members (qualitatively and quantitatively). Capture and share learnings with members and partners.
Advise steward partners: Build a strong pipeline of funders for the project, manage existing grants, develop strong relationships and ongoing engagement with partners (sharing updates, connecting interests to ongoing tactics).
Ensure financial health: Manage the annual and day-to-day budget to ensure a strong fiscal position.

Compensation
Compensation for this full-time position is $150,000 - $180,000 annually.
