The Role
As the Director of External Reporting, you will oversee and lead our financial reporting efforts, playing a crucial role in driving our organization's strategic decisions.
Key Responsibilities- Drive the quarterly reporting process to regulatory bodies such as the SEC, FDIC, and FASB.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance and data integrity.
- Lead monthly financial report closings and reconciliation reviews.
- Implement data gathering and analysis processes from different business units.
- Assist in configuring the GL for accurate and timely reporting.
- Provide variance analysis and research on technical accounting issues.
- Interface directly with auditors to facilitate smooth audits.
- Strong background in banking or public accounting with SEC reporting experience.
- Degree in accounting or finance; CPA accreditation preferred.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
