    Job Description Summary
    Reporting to the Executive Director/CoS HR, the IT Project lead, will work closely on data analytics related to the design and execution of research and case/analytics applications.

    Job Description

    Reporting to the Executive Director/CoS HR, the IT Project lead, will work closely on data analytics related to the design and execution of research and case/analytics applications. They will be responsible for developing materials to help the division and those across the institution learn and apply statistical graphics/visualization and statistical modeling techniques. The IT project lead will bring data analytics experience and expertise, strong communication skills, and a collaborative spirit. The IT Project lead must be a continuous learner, regularly expanding their abilities and expertise. As a part of Human Resources Information Management, this position will provide oversight of several HR projects and technologies, including existing and new applications/processes. The position will work with the Executive Director of Human Resources/Chief of Staff to support the needs of the department, but should be able to work independently and possess good communication skills. The position will be responsible for managing relationships with several vendors that provide services and outsourced applications to the University. This position will also be responsible for coordinating with central computing (ISC) regarding applications that Human Resources owns but does not directly maintain.

    The ideal candidate must have strong knowledge in data analytics and be able to manipulate it to some degree. The ability to pull data from different sources, quickly learn and apply new technologies is a must. The ideal candidate will be able to program using data analysis tools, T-SQL, PL-SQL and C# as well as monitoring and managing many data feeds between systems, including those that are automated and some that are manually executed. Experience with Business Objects, PowerBI, R or Python, as well as, programming experience with C# .NET programming is desirable.

    Responsibilities include:
    Apply technical statistical skills to execute core data functions, including cleaning, transforming, analyzing, and storing large and complex data sets. Create written summaries of research findings and analysis. Contribute to creative and impactful data visualization efforts. Work with SQL and C# as well as other programs.

    Provide oversight and support of projects within Human Resources, specifically related to systems and technology. Work with subject matter experts in Human Resources to evaluate needs, prioritize projects and execute changes to support the projects.

    Contribute to and collaborate with the other members of the HRIM team technical needs when possible

    Coordinate with subject matter experts and central computing (ISC) on projects and systems that are owned by Human Resources but developed and maintained in central computing, such as the tuition system.
