Top Division Human Resources Executive plans and directs human resources policies, objectives, and initiatives for a division or region within an organization. Implements end-to-end human resources function to deliver talent acquisition, training, compensation, benefits, labor relations, and employee support services. Being a Top Division Human Resources Executive partners with leadership across the organization to provide human resources programs aligned with the organization's operational objectives, mission, and values. Builds and develops the teams and technology resources to facilitate regulatory compliance, recordkeeping, transaction processing, and analysis of workforce metrics. Additionally, Top Division Human Resources Executive identifies and explores trends in human resources to enhance the employee experience, meet evolving organizational needs and create innovative programs. Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Executive Director (ED) will be responsible for executing Nebraska Recycling Council 's mission, strategy, and operations with imagination and passion. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge in the evolving field of resource management to effectively execute the core programs of the organization. The ED will coach staff, manage, and develop high-performance teams, set and achieve strategic objectives, and manage a budget. The ED will foster a creative and collaborative team environment, open to a diversity of ideas in the pursuit of excellence. This person will have excellent financial management skills, persuasive written and verbal communication, exceptional interpersonal, and multidisciplinary project skills. An action-oriented, strategic, adaptable, and innovative approach to organizational planning is essential.
An advanced degree in business, public administration, or environmental focus with at least 5 years of senior management experience; or 4-year degree with a track record of effectively leading a performance- and outcomes-based organization with a similar mission is required. Supervisory experience is required. Grant management experience is preferred. Past success working with a Board of Directors and the ability to cultivate existing board member relationships is helpful.
