    Job Summary

    The College of Medicine’s Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion is actively looking for a Program Manager.

    This role involves planning, developing, implementing, evaluating, managing, and advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives within the College, along with aiding other special projects under the Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion ( ODEI ).

    Situated in the Dean’s Office, the Program Manager will report to the ODEI Director, offering direct assistance to ODEI’s operations. The responsibilities encompass administrative duties and program management, extending support to various DEI committees, student groups, employee resource groups, and special projects.

    Skills / Knowledge / Abilities

    • Prior experience with project coordination preferred. Experience with communications and/or marketing strategies preferred. Experience managing multiple deadlines and tasks preferred
    • Experience in and a thorough understanding of complex and intersectional issues related to equity, inclusion and diversity.
    • Commitment to further skills, intercultural competency, and sensitivity in interactions with diverse constituencies across various ethnic, social, cultural, economic, and educational backgrounds and demonstrated strong commitment to advancing diversity and inclusive excellence in higher education

    Preferred Education/Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree or higher required
    • Cultural humility and ability to work with diverse populations
    • Program development, event planning, project coordination, communications and/or marketing
    • At least two years’ experience with providing administrative assistance, programming experience, and preferably in higher education and in diversity, equity, and inclusion.
