    Manager, Consumer Loan Operations

    The pay range for this position is listed below. Our pay ranges are built to allow for candidates with various levels of skill and experience to be considered, as well as for room for growth and tenure achieved in a role over time. Typical new hire salary offers fall within the minimum to midpoint of a pay range for many candidates. Any offer extended to a candidate will be based upon their unique set of knowledge, skills, education, and experience as well as internal equity.

    $113,583.00 - $170,375.00

    What You’ll Be Doing

    Plans, organizes, and directs the Consumer Loan Operations department to ensure maximum accuracy, efficiency and compliance related to processing and funding activities on consumer loans, lines of credit, and credit cards. Monitors service performance of the department to ensure exceptional Member and teammember service within a high volume environment.

    • Directs and monitors the funding process of all Consumer Loan products (Personal, Vehicle, Credit Card, Lines of Credit, Certificate Secured, Student Loan, Specialized School Employee and Teammember loans). Ensures proper steps and forms are completed to support securing collateral on loans.
    • Focuses on the Member's experience as it relates to consumer loan funding and looks to develop or enhance processes that progress the level of service.
    • Coordinates and oversees the funding of indirect loans through our partner programs such as FastTrack, Enterprise, True Car, and Credit Union Direct Lending. Monitors service levels and takes appropriate action as needed.
    • Oversees the Consumer Loan Origination System (CLOS) technical support for Frontline as it relates to the funding process. Ensures that the funding teammembers are trained in CLOS and can assist the Frontline with funding support and technical funding questions.
    • Oversees relationship between Autoland and SchoolsFirst FCU. Works closely with leadership to ensure service standards are met. Meets with leadership on a regular basis to make sure any service and operational issues are resolved in a timely manner.
    • Works with other leaders within the Consumer Lending Division to improve the efficiency and automation of consumer loan products and services. Actively participates in the marketing efforts of our consumer loan products.
    • Provides consultative services to Members regarding credit union products and services and ensures that teammembers are providing consultative services by assessing the Member's needs, addressing their concerns and gaining agreement.
    • Analyzes and compares vendor responses, conducts vendor risk assessment, negotiates contracts, and provides a summary and recommendations as needed. Manages existing vendor relationships, vendor performance, reviews audit reports, and contract renewals.
    • Reviews various reports to ensure that proper tracking is in place to effectively evaluate and improve processes and metrics within the department.
    • Appropriately identifies, evaluates, and manages risk within area and implements risk mitigation strategies and activities as appropriate.
    • Serves as liaison for internal and external audits, including the NCUA and CFPB, relating to department audit activities to ensure that department functions meet regulatory policies and guidelines.

    • Provides daily support to staff, including answering questions and problem resolution, communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; training, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; developing, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, procedures, and productivity standards.
    • Accomplishes financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures and analyzing variances.
    • Contributes to organizational goals and priorities as a member of Management team. Establishes and implements plans that have short-term (1-2 year) impact on business results in alignment with organization objectives.
    • Evaluates operating procedures and policies, ensuring the highest levels of Member service, productivity and internal control.
    • Initiates, researches, coordinates and implements department or division projects intended to benefit Members, internal teammembers or department operations.
    • Ensures compliance with state and federal laws as well as any other applicable regulations.
    • Understands the credit union organizational goals and key performance indicators and takes the necessary actions to achieve desired results.
    • Performs other duties as assigned
    • Complies with regulatory compliance and assigned training requirements including but not limited to BSA regulations corresponding to their specific job duties. Failure to do so may result in disciplinary and other employment related actions

    • High School Diploma required
    • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent years of experience preferred
    • 5-7 years of previous related experience required
    • 1-3 years of previous management experience required
    • Previous experience managing minimum total loan servicing portfolio 200k loans or $1B in consumer loan balances

    Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

    • Familiar with all federal and state regulatory requirements related to consumer loans
    • Familiar with vendor management
